Hawa Bockari B.A Mass Communication (Hons); Diploma in Mass Communication; presenter CTN at Six
Hawa Bockari was born on the 14th of December 1981 and was a student of the Annie Walsh Memorial School where she developed an interest in being a journalist. She was part of the Literary and Debating Society team. After the completion of her senior secondary school education, she went on to Fourah Bay College to pursue a Diploma course in Mass Communication in 2002. Hawa worked with an advertising and events management firm called Premier Media Consultancy Limited as an intern in 2002 and 2006/2007 academic years. As part of the academic course in broadcasting she later joined the department’s Radio Mount Aureol as a news reader, continuity announcer and co-producer and co- presenter of their entertainment programme called Celebrity gossip. In July 2007 she was part of the Independent Radio Network (IRN) team. She presented the news as well as producing and reporting the elections with other journalists all over the country. Hawa joined CTN’s breakfast programme in January 2008 as a presenter throughout the week. |
