Libya to rehabilitate Lungi Hospital PDF Print E-mail

The Danke Koroma Foundation under the Office of the First Lady is to rehabilitate the Lungi Government hospital in the Kaffu Bullom Chiefdom, Port Loko District.
The Libyan government will provide the funds for the rehabilitation of the hospital, Sia Nyama Koroma, Sierra Leone’s First Lady disclosed. She spoke at a meeting with officials of the Ministry of Health. Mrs. Koroma said an engineering team from Libya was to conduct the project’s feasibility studies.The First Lady recognised the importance of the provision of accessible and quality health care services throughout the country. She disclosed plans for the construction of an orphanage in Makeni, a Nursing Training Center and Maternity complex in Kono. Mohamed Daudis Koroma, the Deputy Minister of Health and Sanitation, thanked the First Lady for her strides in improving the country’s health delivery system. He assured the First Lady of the Health Ministry’s support to the implementation of the Lungi Hospital rehabilitation project. Mr. Koroma said the ministry would organize a meeting with the Libyan project engineers to facilitate the Lungi Hospital rehabilitation project.
