The President of the Old Princewaleans Association has called on parents, past pupils and staff of the Prince of Wales School to come together to restore the glory of the school. Motch Roberts made the statement at the re-launch of the Old Princewaleans Association Fourah Bay College Branch. Mr Robert described the school as one that had produced many great men for the country.

He however said the association was concerned that the school had not been performing well in public exams in the recent past. He described the re-launch of his association’s branch at FBC as a milestone event, especially now that the school was celebrating its eighty-fifth anniversary. The President of the Old Princewaleans Association at Fourah Bay College, Bamin Claude Davies said they decided to re-launch the association because it had not been active for quite some time now. Mr. Davies said the association would join other old Princewaleans to provide free tutorials for pupils of the school attempting public exams. The Prince of Wales School was founded on 5th April 1925, the date the Prince of Wales in England visited Sierra Leone.
