President Ernest Koroma promises help to Kalansongoya fire victims PDF Print E-mail

Paramount Chief Alimamy Koroma the second of Kalasongoya Chiefdom has called on government and other agencies to assist last week fire victims of Ferengbeya Village, Kalansongoya chiefdom in the Tonkolili District. P.C Koroma made the plea during President Ernest Koroma’s visit to the town to inspect the African Minerals Limited Iron Ore Flagship Project. He said nineteen houses were last week gutted down by what he called mysterious fire living over hundred people including women and children homeless. He said the victims particularly the children were currently expose to illnesses as the tents provided by African Minerals Limited were temporal and could not adequately stand the present weather condition. P.C. Koroma appealed for the immediate intervention of government and other well wishers before the raining season. President Koroma in response expressed sympathy to the victims. President Koroma said government has engaged African Minerals to see how to continue providing support to the victims.
