The Warden of Students of Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone has complained of an alleged attack by a group of students residing on the college’s campus.

Henry Monrovia said the students allegedly used invectives against his mother on Friday night when he was about to interrupt an alleged student’s club initiation ceremony. Mr. Monrovia said a large quantity of human excreta was also splattered at the entrance to his flat by the said students. He alleged that despite the ban on all club activities by the Chancellor of the University, students were still involved in clandestine initiation ceremonies. He said he had already made a formal complaint to the college’s administration for appropriate action. But students who spoke to CTN on condition of anonymity said the students the Warden accused were celebrating the birthday of one of their colleagues, and were not engaged in any club initiation ceremony
