Sierra Leone stands to benefit the highest from the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Corporation. Dr. Kamalesh Sharma, Commonwealth Secretary General made the statement while addressing journalists during his recent visit to Sierra Leone.
Dr. Sharma said the benefit was owing to the huge contribution the country has made to the Commonwealth.
He said the returns which member state gets in terms of their contributions to the organization was very rewarding for them. Dr. Sharma said his organization was also concerned about what he called traditionally vulnerable people such as the youths. He said the commonwealth intends to strengthen the Electoral Commission and to work with the Judiciary. He said the delimitation of marine time boundary was important to create enabling economic zones for the country. The Commonwealth of Nations, normally referred to as the Commonwealth, is an intergovernmental organisation of fifty-four independent member states. It promotes democracy, human rights, good governance, the rule of law, individual liberty, free trade, and world peace.
