Intimidation and harassment of rival party supporters is on the increase.
The incidents are rife especially in the Western Area the Northern region of the country. This is according to Jacob Jusu Saffa, Secretary General of the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party.Chris Charley is the Assistance Inspector General in charge of Police media and professional Standards.Hon. Alpha Kanu is the Presidential Spokesperson. He told CTN that the law would take its course if anybody was caught violating the rights of other people. Charles Mambu, a civil society and human rights activist warned that people should desist from intimidating others.He said people should focus on reuniting their differences to work in the interest of national development.
