Listeners to Radio Bontico in Bonthe, Sherbro Island, can now hear CTN.
Radio Bontico is the first community radio station to install a satellite link to the CTN studios at Fourah Bah College in Freetown. CTN news and information programmes are up linked to a satellite and fed to this receiving dish close to the Radio Bontico premises.The installation of nine further receiving stations throughout the country is underway. Listeners far and wide through Sierra Leone will have access to CTN programmes. The short wave frequency, on 9525 KHz, continues, carrying news in English, Krio, Limba, Mende and Temne to everyone in the country and the sub-region.
