Two were approved to serve as Ambassadors and six as Board Members of various government parastatals.
Alhaji Mohamed Fadika was approved as the Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran and Wusu B. Munu as Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. Alpha Salvage and Joseph Quee were approved as Board Members of the Guma Water Company. Parliament also approved Tenneh Gbondo as Board Member of the Local Government Commission. Other Board members include Paramount Chief Mansayeli N’tham of the Rokel Commercial Bank and Andrew Augustus Koroma as Board Member of SALPOST. Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Sheku Dumbuya said the approved Presidential nominees were a crop of experienced and educated persons in their respective disciplines. Opposition Hon. Eric Jumu urged the two Ambassadors to keep their balance from being caught in the web between Arab and Western policies. He also called on the Board Members of SALPOST to revamp the national postal services.
