Western Area football coaches undergo FIFA course

The C-License Course for coaches is underway at the Football Academy in Freetown.

The training is facilitated by football’s world governing body, FIFA.

Officials say the course is to “capacitate coaches and develop the game in the country.”

Most of the participants were selected from various football clubs in the Western Area.

There have however been allegations that some of the trainees were not coaches. But the Secretary General of the Western Area Football Association, Abu Manley Conteh dismissed the claims.

“The coaches that are taking part in the training were taken from the Western Area Coaches Association,” Conteh told CTN. The course going on and is expected to end on 5 October.
