ACC unveils ‘Service Delivery Charter’ for two hospitals

The Anti-Corruption Commission, ACC on Thursday launched the Service Delivery Charter for the Princess Christian Maternity Hospital, PCMH and the 34 Military Hospitals in Freetown.

The two documents set out basic information on the services provided by the respective institutions, their standards, and complaints mechanism for redress or suggestions for improvement.

Acting Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Morlai Buya-Kamara said “the Charter was meant to encourage and support public institutions to become more transparent in their dealings with the public.”

Shollay Davies Director of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, (NACS) said the charter would help to build trust, performance and increase the satisfaction of service users.

Deputy Health Minister Mohamed Daudis Koroma said his ministry would work with the Defence Ministry to “monitor the strict implementation of the service Delivery Charter for the good of the public.”
